Resonate, an advertising technology company that was recently voted one of America’s Most Promising Companies by Forbes Magazine, is hiring Account Executives for positions in various US locations including, New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles.
Founded in 2008, Resonate has built a proprietary online audience targeting and consumer insights platform that allows advertisers to move well beyond simple demographic and behavioral targeting into consumer values based targeting. If demographics represent roughly “who people are”, and behavioral represents “what people do”, Consumer Values Targeting gets at “why people do what they do”…what are the core values that motivate consumer purchase decisions. And values are precisely how major brand marketers segment their audiences and build creative. Now they can directly target audiences based on Consumer Values without having to just use demographics and behaviors as a proxy for values.
The ideal candidate will have experience generating RFPs through established relationships with advertising agencies. Through your relationships with advertising agencies, you will position Resonate as a powerful advance in the next evolution of advertising targeting technology and consumer insights driven media. An entrepreneurial spirit and drive is an absolute must. Resonate has a fully developed sales support and ad operations team in place to provide you with the required tools to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- The ability to clearly and concisely present Resonate’s media solutions, primarily to media buyers
- Maintain full ownership of your territory/assigned target clients – from lead generation through successful deal close
- Generate a high volume of quality face to face meetings and RFPs.
- Provide regular sales forecasting, sales plans, and other required reporting to sales management as requested
- Implement a consultative sales process by gaining a deep understanding of each customer’s campaign strategy, message and goals, and determining where Resonate products can achieve maximum impact
- Collaborate with the Resonate product team to communicate customer requirements and devise innovative applications of our capabilities
Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- Serious “hunters” driven by a sense of urgency and “pit bull” perseverance.
- 2-5 years of experience selling online advertising
- Established, verifiable relationships with online agencies and their media buyers.
- Successful sales track record at or above quota
- Knowledge of advertising technology solution marketplace (e.g., DSP’s, DMP’s, agency ad exchanges, targeting technologies)
- Familiarity with the process of online advertising campaign development and execution
- Understanding of various advantages, ROI and trade offs for online campaign pricing and success metrics (e.g. CPM, CPC, conversions)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop professional, written documents and client presentations
