McGarrah Jessee seeks a Digital Media Strategist that is a creative thinker and passionate about the evolving digital media and technology landscape. This person should be enthusiastic about collaboration with different McGarrah Jessee disciplines to develop digital solutions and able to sell in recommendations with compelling logic and enthusiasm. This is a hands-on position managing the strategy, planning and execution of all digital media efforts across all McGarrah Jessee clients. Experience across online display, search, social, mobile and tablet is a must.
LEADERSHIP
- Serve as an expert and thought leader on digital marketing and digital media planning/buying practices for the department and agency
- Monitor and report on relevant trends in the digital media landscape
- Possess extensive understanding of the digital advertising industry's infrastructure and systems
- Have exceptional oral, written and presentation skills
- Support new business development efforts
DRIVE THE DIGITAL DISCIPLINE
- Work in coordination with the client and the agency's media planning, digital design/production and account management departments
- Brainstorm with agency teammates to create concepts for client projects
- Ensure paid digital media, SEM/SEO and social media strategies align to our strategic and tactical goals
- Project budget levels and/or budget needs based on client goals
- Provide insight on pricing trends, research, client and vendor relationships and processes
- Oversee the planning, development, purchase and execution of all digital media strategies
- Manage reporting and plan optimization
- Manage budgets, IO's and invoice reconciliation
- Develop strong vendor partnerships
- Provide written POVs
- Have strong analytical and math skills
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
- Act as a mentor for professional growth within the media team
- Develop a curriculum to train media team on best practices, buying approaches and negotiations, analytics and tracking, campaign implementation, digital channel allocation, emerging opportunities and new partnerships
- Review and, where appropriate, improve media department processes to reach optimal efficiency
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- BS/BA and 5+ years' experience in digital marketing and online media planning/buying across various channels
- Search marketing experience
- Development and supervision of direct reports
- Proficiency in media software and research, reporting and optimization such as MediaMind, Atlas, DART/DoubleClick
- Experience with planning tools such as @plan NetRatings and Comscore
- Familiarity with web analytics tools such as Coremetrics, Omniture and Google Analytics
- Familiarity with Strata software (or similar)
- Experience with Google AdWords and Microsoft AdCenter
