               		Position: Traffic Specialist <br>

               		Job Description: RESPONSIBILITIES<br /> The Traffic Specialist will support the implementation and QA of all Newsweek.com advertising campaigns. S/he will interface directly with operations, development and traffickers regarding asset requirements, specifications and testing of Newsweek.com ad campaigns.  The Traffic Specialist will possess expert knowledge of DART and DFP to serve as primary technical liaison and support for all escalated adserving problems and advanced trafficking issues.  S/he must understand and establish all DFP sites and zones.  The Traffic Specialist will edit and test HTML, JavaScript and/or Flash code for advertising needs within site guides, and build and troubleshoot implementation of new products as required from sales development.  S/he will manage technical implementation of third party rich media vendors and third party servers, and work with Ad publisher on all platform releases.  The Traffic Specialist will work closely with production, operations, and trafficking teams to monitor project integrations, and manage internal tagging and reporting of Newsweek.com traffic with Production and Omniture.  S/he will work closely with AdOps Manager/Project Leads to troubleshoot rich media, test complicated ad products, and fix errors. The Traffic Specialist will thoroughly test and QA all ads prior to launch on Newsweek.com. S/he will become the expert on for site specs, ad units, sections, templates, and zones, and perform other duties as assigned.<br /><br />REQUIREMENTS <br />The ideal candidate must have one to three years of experience in online ad operations or project management; including maintaining production calendar as well as a bachelor's degree required.   S/he must have a minimum of one year technical experience with DFP or similar publisher platform, and preferably a minimum of one year experience with web analytic tool.  The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem solving and proven ability to work independently.  S/he will possess the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines, and to interface on a technical level with producers, Operations, QA, engineering, and design. <p>Requirements: <br />&bull; BA/BS or equivalent experience. <br />&bull; 2 &ndash; 5+ years (5 - 7+ yrs plus experience for Regional Director) customer focused sales experience meeting and exceeding quotas within a media/ad sales environment selling broadcast, cable television and/or print.&nbsp; (experience hiring/managing/coaching for Regional Director)<br />&bull; Experience selling into large brand advertisers in the CPG, Retail, Entertainment and/or Automotive Verticals. <br />&bull; Track record of structuring and managing complex negotiations to successful closure and delivery <br />&bull; Able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and remain calm under pressure. <br />&bull; Deep understanding of online ad sales marketplace with industry contacts. <br />&bull; Intellectually curious with a desire to learn more about the online brand advertising marketplace and trends. <br />&bull; Experience working with both ad agencies as well as marketing executives at the client level. <br />&bull; Team player with ability to work in a start-up environment, ie: roll-up your sleeves, dynamic, fast paced and exciting. <br />&bull; Strong communication and interpersonal skills. <br />&bull; Proficient computer skills: Word/Excel/Outlook/Powerpoint <br /></p>
