4 Cities To Move To For Marketing Careers

4 Cities To Move To For Marketing Careers Morgan Sims
There are plenty of young marketers with little to no experience graduating from colleges all over the United States and the world. There are many different reasons that someone might not get the jobs that they are applying for. The issue could be that they are aiming a little too high for their experience level. The issue could be that they do not have any real experience minus some of the classes that they took. Overall, the largest issue is the place that you are applying, not the company but the location the company is in. In cities with smaller marketing industries, entry level jobs will be taken by people who already have experience. In the larger marketing industry cities though, this gives the recent college grad or person just entering the industry the chance to get their foot in the marketing world. Here are some of the top cities to get a marketing degree in today’s United States.

New York, New York

Everyone who is reading this article knew that New York City was going to make this list. New York is a place where marketing, PR, and now startups have been blossoming. Many top professionals in the marketing industry seek jobs where the big agencies are. These big agencies will also have a large volume of employees so even a paid internship here could become a bountiful investment in your future.

Austin, Texas

While New York was more of the traditional marketing hub, Austin is a great place for young professionals to live in the marketing industry. There are so many startups in Austin that deal with digital advertising that even if you do not have much experience, the right attitude and work ethic can take you far. Whether it is reputation management on Yelp or running PPC campaigns for an online marketing company, Austin is a great place to live.

Los Angeles, California

While New York City is the king in the marketing industry, Los Angeles is 2nd behind them when it comes to having the most marketing managers in the country. Every year until 2020 there are supposed to be hundreds of marketing managers that are new just in Los Angeles alone. That is a 16 percent jump over the course of just a few years!

Chicago, Illinois

There are close to 10 thousand marketing managers in the city of Chicago, that ranks 3rd in the country behind New York City and Los Angeles. When added in with the PR and different related positions, this is right up there with the top in the country as well. Chicago has a big market and many of the agencies in New York have offices in Chicago as well to capture some Midwest talent.

Location is everything, if you are a business owner or a job seeker these cities are sure to bring you a job or increased talent in your office. Moving an office can be simple with E-Z Moving as they can move your office and set it up all in a matter of days.
