Over the course of a couple of days, our consumer visits multiple sites within the network and -- based on her behavior on the manufacturer’s site -- receives ads for one of the slightly more expensive, newer model phones that the manufacturer is promoting.
She remembers that she has viewed this company’s phones, is interested in the ad and clicks. Our consumer is brought to the manufacturer’s site, where she examines this newer model and, just like before, leaves the site without purchasing. The consumer is showing a good deal of immediate interest, so it is time to strike while the iron is hot.
