2. Company name takes a backseat

Page titles help search engines get a sense of strategic phrases-- not the company name.

Yes, you can put the company name in the page title. I think it’s a great idea-- after you achieve a high ranking. (More on this later.)

Seriously, if the content of your website can’t achieve high rankings for your company name, you’ve got serious problems. Place the business name in the meta description if you need a little boost. Links to your website should mention it as well. But it’s just not a good idea to use this prime SEO real estate space for your company’s name.
