Online Travel Grows

eMarketer reports that more people are buying airline tickets online than ever before.
In line with the trend so far this decade, the number of U.S. travelers who used the internet to book travel jumped in 2005. Some 64.8 million U.S. individuals booked their travel on the internet last year. This amounts to 64 percent of travelers who were online. The percentage of online travel planners who converted into online travel bookers increased from 70 percent in 2004 to 82 percent in 2005.
