Listen in to the ad:tech Chicago session, "How Marketing Will Save Itself," introduced by Susan Bratton and led by Hunter Hastings.
It’s a cliché that the old marketing model is broken. The real problem is marketers-- we are stuck in the old zeitgeist and can’t get out of our own way. Here’s what we know: Consumers and customers are now in control of how they process and receive information. Marketers know this and are in a frenzy to develop, test and use new ways of touching and engaging customers. The explosion of choice and the pressure for growth and accountability have crushed the spirit and joy of marketers in their work. Marketers cannot succeed if they continue operating without a new intellectual paradigm.
Happily, we can now identify the new paradigm. Hunter Hastings, author of “The New Market Mission: How Process, Metrics and Technology Can Unleash Growth,” leads you through the process, tracking and measurement software and customer engagement components of this paradigm.
