The NetView categories for this week are family & lifestyles sites and finance/insurance/investment sites. The AdRelevance advertising categories for this week are hardware & electronics advertisers and business-to-business advertisers.
Disney is synonymous with family entertainment. Therefore, it’s no surprise that Disney Online controls the number one spot for top family and lifestyle sites. The rest of the list, however, consists of everything from cartoon and toy-shopping sites to matchmaker sites like Match.com and Yahoo! Personals, and astrology sites (iVillage Astrology.com) to medical sites (AOL Health and webmd.com).
For the top finance/insurance/investment sites, dot-coms rule the roost, with AOL Personal Finance, MSN Money, Yahoo! Finance and Paypal (an e-Bay company) sitting in the top four spots. However, traditional financial institutions control the list, filling in the final six spots.
As far as advertisers, steadfast Hewlett-Packard tops the list of hardware and electronics advertisers. Dell Computers come in second, with Sony, surprisingly, bringing up the rear.
Hewlett-Packard also makes the list of top 10 business-to-business advertisers, coming in at number three. Colonize.com, an e-mail publishing company, leads the list, garnering 322 million impressions.
