TARGETING: IN FOCUS
Surprising new ways to target

Ways to use the data

Once buckets are defined, you have the option to use the data in two ways. The first is analyzing returning visitors with a certain behavior and displaying information (most likely at the starting point, such as the homepage) to upsell, cross-sell or provide the best customer service as you discover their needs.

The second is targeting new customers that display a certain behavior that is similar to any of the buckets. You can then start displaying dynamic content elements on your pages that you know will make these individuals convert. Formats of behavioral executions will most likely happen on homepages and conversion pages. We have found in some of our client cases that certain behavior audience buckets are more inclined to convert during the conversion funnel pages when phone numbers are highlighted, for example.

Additional tactics include the use of pages with content that is specific to individual behavior audiences and the application of promotional banners on your own site. This method can also be as simple as highlighting certain customer service representatives. Include a great behavioral feature on your own website with a recommendation element, such as "what others were interested in," to target your visitors even further.
