Centro's CEO lands an award, plus other interactive industry hires, partnerships, launches and announcements.

90octane, a Denver-based interactive marketing agency, has promoted Jessica Shepherd to project manager. In addition, Lauren Klostermann and Christy Roth were each promoted to senior marketing coordinator.

Centro announced that the Newspaper Association of America's (NAA) Display Federation has awarded its founder and CEO, Shawn Riegsecker, with its Advertising Person of the year award for 2008.

ContextWeb, a contextual advertising company, announced that Ethan Simblist has joined the company as director of business development.

Crackle, a Sony Pictures Entertainment company, announced that Jonathan Shambroom will take over leadership as senior vice president and general manager of the video entertainment company and will lead the company's continued growth as it debuts new and original online short-form videos from Sony Pictures Television.

GoFish announced the addition of WeeWorld, an avatar-based social network, to its newly-launched youth-focused online entertainment and media network.

Gorilla Nation announced that Alex Godelman has been appointed as VP of technology.

Mediasmith has hired Mark MacQuarrie as VP and GM and Mary Goodell as group media director.

Mochila and Broadcast Interactive Media (BIM), announced a joint partnership. Through this partnership, BIM will provide Mochila's high-quality, rights-managed content directly to TV and radio stations in the 120 markets served by BIM.

MySpace announced that Mitchell Kreuch has been appointed VP of East Coast sales for the company.  

NetShelter Technology Media announced that it has promoted Todd Carville to the newly created position of SVP of sales.

Organic, a digital communications agency, announced the appointment of Steve Kerho to VP of analytics, media and marketing optimization.

Powered, a provider of social commerce solutions, announced that Randy Atherton has joined the company as VP of sales. The firm also appointed Mark Drosos as CRO.

ScanScout has hired Cliff Paulson, director, eastern sales; Billy Fox, eastern region sales executive; Marc Mallett, eastern region sales executive; Dave Young, western region sales executive; and Jeff Dawes, senior account executive for publisher services.

Unicast, a division of Enliven Marketing Technologies, announced that AdMob has partnered with Unicast to power mobile web pages through the Unicast Rich Media Mobile platform for its advertising customers.
