Production specifics
Not surprisingly, a lot of consumer-generated videos are thrown out immediately because they don't meet the specific production requirements. It may be an outstanding idea, with beautiful lighting and great acting, but if it's 35 seconds when it's supposed to fill a 30-second time slot, it doesn't work. Be sure to list all the production specifics in the brief.
Editing
If you took into consideration all of the previous points about the strategy and creative brief, chances are that, at the end of your assignment, you will have a handful of ready-for-broadcast videos. However, it's a good idea to build in time for editing, just in case. Most videographers will be open to a few minor edits, but keep in mind that it can be challenging for them to make scene alterations or add in footage.
