Introduction

A quality website is more than just a pretty homepage. But what exactly does it take to keep consumers coming back for more?

We asked brand marketers to share one of the sites they're most proud of, along with one they wish they'd done. They highlight some of the tricks of the trade and what catches their critical eyes. They point out what's unusual and effective about each site and how it fits into and complements the overall brand strategy, in addition to how the site could be improved.

At first I thought the converse site was lame - then I found myself still on it 20 minutes later. Love the full screen video.

Great article!

MapMyRun is a cool site, but I wish runners would stick to Central Park, the West Side Highway Path, the East River Path, and other designated running areas.

As the name implies, sidewalks are for walking, not running. Do runners actually enjoy weaving among pedestrians on a crowded sidewalk anyway -- and sometimes slamming into them without so much as an apology?

I'm sorry this post has nothing to do with online media, but sites like MapMyRun encourage runners to tread where they shouldn't.

David - great choice and creative review on iliketotallyloveit.com. It was a similar take that I had on reviewing Converse's thisistheindexpage.com - we need more humor and entertainment in our lives - glad you chose this one. thx.
