Introduction
It is an annual tradition: At the beginning of the new year, industry pundits, observers, economists, business reporters and the like all make, in one form or another, their predictions for the upcoming year. Just about every trade publication runs at least one column or article that lays out the writer's top forecasts. This publication is no different. Nor is this writer.
However, few publications ever run an article that looks back at past predictions and compares them with the reality of the year for which they were made. Well, this year, iMedia is doing just that. We are looking over some predictions made at the beginning of 2008 -- including a few made by yours truly -- to find out which came true, which didn't and which came close.
