Local mobile content doubles in one year

Consumers are seeking local information on their mobile devices in record numbers. The rate of those seeking local content more than doubled from March 2008 to March 2009, MarketingVox reports, citing new data from comScore Mobile.

Local advertising has seen tremendous growth lately. A separate report from the Yellow Pages Association and comScore found that local search grew 58 percent in 2008. Small- and medium-sized businesses are ramping up their investment in the area as growth continues to surge.
