Google is readying a microblogging search tool that will index content from Twitter and other similar sites, the Google Operating System blog reports.
The service, which is said to be built on the same foundation as Google's blog search tool, will be incorporated into Google's main web results. Google Operating System declined to name the source for its story, but refers to a recent Google listing titled "Google's MicroBlogsearch."
This could very likely be the search partnership that Twitter and Google have rumored to be discussing for some time now; however, the service could just as easily be launched independent of Twitter.
