Yahoo CEO talks shop with shareholders

Yahoo's new CEO Carol Bartz got through her first annual shareholders meeting without bruising. It sure lacked the pizzazz and drama of last summer's shareholder meeting, but that's exactly what Bartz needed.

Here are some of her most interesting revelations made during the meeting, according to Business Insider:

  • Yahoo should cut products that are languishing (she called them "space debris") and losing popularity with users.
  • Now is not the time to sell Yahoo's stake in Alibaba.
  • Stop with the comparisons to Google. "Please, this direct map comparison to Google is not fair to Google and frankly not relevant."
  • On Microsoft: "If we ever have a deal with Microsoft it will be announced publicly and until (then) we do not have anything to say."
