Facebook doubles down on Engagement Ads

Facebook has refreshed its Engagement Ads offering as it aims to increase user interaction and drive new fans to Facebook Pages, MarketingVox reports.

The change is more a combination of capabilities that already exist in other ads on Facebook, but, for example, advertisers can now combine videos and polls in the same section. Ads can also be enlarged beyond the classified-style ads that usually appear in the right-hand column of profile pages.

Facebook has put a lot of weight on Engagement Ads, even going so far as to say the company's success or failure will be determined by the product's performance in the next few years.
