AudienceScience, NeoEdge, and R/GA in the news, plus other interactive industry hires, partnerships, launches, and announcements.

Appcelerator, announced its partner program for interactive ad agencies and systems integrators. This commercial offering provides the technology, training, and development support necessary to quickly and cost-effectively build iPhone, Android, netbook, and desktop apps that leverage the native capabilities of these devices.

AudienceScience, a provider of audience-targeted advertising technology and solutions for digital media, announced that Steve McQuade has joined as vice president of engineering in the Seattle office.

Break Media, a leading online publisher of content for guys, announced its latest branded content project, called the "Social Sportz Net". The campaign was developed by the Break Creative Lab and Southern Comfort and consists of an original series of webisodes designed around the uniqueness and versatility of the popular spirit.

Catalyst Development Corporation, publisher of software components and applications, has announced the release of its ChoiceAnalyst affordable decision-making software. Smaller companies and individuals will now be able to use decision support software and experience the results of more successful marketing campaigns.

Digitas announced that Colin Kinsella, chief innovation officer at Razorfish since May 2009, has been named president of Digitas North America. 

Engauge, a total marketing solutions agency, has brought on Tom Hickey as vice president of media. Hickey will be based in the agency's headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

GSI Commerce Inc. introduced TrueAction, the new face of its full-service agency. Formerly known as GSI InteractiveSM, TrueAction has provided digital marketing and design solutions to industry-leading retailers and brands. The new moniker reflects the company's focus on offering innovative marketing solutions that have driven millions of dollars in ecommerce transactions.

The Huffington Post saw a spike on the 2009 Digital Hot List from No. 8 to No. 6, thanks to an audience jump of 52 percent in August to 7.8 million visitors. In addition, HuffPo launched several local versions (Denver, New York) and several new sections in the past year.

InMobi (formerly mKhoj) and eBuddy formally announced a partnership, adding to InMobi's growing list of premium publisher partners. eBuddy has teamed up with InMobi to increase its revenue payouts in 12 countries. The newly formed partnership in these geographies already accounts for more than 20 percent of eBuddy's total mobile ad revenue.

JiWire announced the appointment of David Courtney as CEO of the leading mobile audience media company, which reaches more than 20 million unique users per month through its public Wi-Fi advertising channel.

MarkMonitor, an enterprise brand protection company, announced it has named Susan Whiting, vice chair of The Nielsen Company, to its board of directors.

Mobile Messenger, a leading mobile solutions provider, announced the appointment of Edward McCormick as senior vice president, human resources, and Israel Niezen as senior vice president, strategic marketing and business development.

NeoEdge, a total solutions provider of advanced digital media services in casual games for the PC, announced the publication of a study conducted by Frank N. Magid Associates that examines techniques to maximize advertising effectiveness within online casual games. The research shows that video advertising displayed during game play sessions results in 5X increases in brand awareness and 3X increases in new product awareness.

Quantivo, a leader in on-demand behavioral analytics, announced the release of a newly authored book, "Behavioral Analytics For Dummies", designed to give marketing, web analytics, and business intelligence professionals the knowledge required to exploit the benefits of behavioral analytics across their businesses.

R/GA, is pleased to announce the addition of Jonny Longden, director, analytics and accountability, to lead and build the growing practice. He will focus on implementing rigorous measurement and optimization techniques across all R/GA London clients and will be an integral part of the analytics and accountability leadership team.

Tribal Fusion, the digital marketing solutions company owned by Exponential Interactive, Inc., announced the availability of premium and high-impact site skins ads, which offer a more dynamic and immersive rich media experience on publisher sites.

Interactive ideas agency United Future announced it has added three new staff members. The agency named Erik Kellener as senior director and chief technology officer, Thomas Heo as manager, user experience, and Shane Coppess as senior associate, technology. All three new hires are based in the Los Angeles office.
