Media Motion: The Huffington Post, Brightcove, Solbright

Global creative agency ATTIK announced two recent hires and promotions for its San Francisco office. The new appointments include Katherine Stout in the position of account director for the agency's Scion account, and Cory Pierce in the position of planning director. ATTIK's President Ric Peralta also announced the promotion of agency veterans Abby Green to senior account executive (also on the Scion account), and Oliver Ralph to director of business development. In addition, new appointments include Jacob Ford to the position of creative director: digital, and John Reid to the position of creative director, advertising.

Automated Media Services, a firm responsible for the creation and development of the first measurable, scalable, and targeted media platform, 3GTV, announced that John W. Patterson has joined the company as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Brightcove Inc., an online video platform, announced that David Mendels has been named president and chief operating officer. Mendels will be responsible for driving Brightcove's global expansion strategy and operations.

The Huffington Post, a social news and opinion site, announced four appointments to newly created senior positions on its sales team. Andy Wiedlin has been named VP of sales, West Coast; Philip Cara has been named VP of sales, East Coast; Peter Cherukuri has been named VP and general manager of HuffPost's Washington office; and Brian Kaminsky has been named VP, director of sales operations.

Content delivery platform Limelight Networks, Inc., announced its intention to acquire EyeWonder. The acquisition will provide the scale and resources necessary for EyeWonder's service and technology solutions to grow rapidly and globally.

Solbright, delivering solutions that drive the business of digital advertising, announced two strategic additions to its sales and marketing team. John Nives, senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, and Eric Berg, director of West Coast sales, join the digital advertising operations pioneer as the company readies for further growth in the year ahead.

Strategic interactive research and technology company Vision Critical welcomes Andrew Iain Reid as the company's new managing director of corporate development. At Vision Critical, Reid will be guiding and supporting the expansion of the company's research and panel offerings. Hell be based out of the Vancouver office.

WebVisible named Doug LaBahn, Ph.D. as vice president of product. LaBahn most recently served as vice president of strategy and innovation for Experian.
