Media Motion: Brand.net, R/GA, and The Huffington Post

Adgregate Markets and PointRoll have announced a multi-year partnership. Through the deal, Adgregate becomes PointRoll's provider for in-banner ads that enable ecommerce transactions.

Alloy Media + Marketing has hired Margaret Kim as vice president, programming, for Alloy Digital. Kim will be responsible for programming strategy, original content development, and distribution for AlloyTV. In other news for Alloy's AMP Agency, it has been named the media agency of record for both the U.S. Legal Markets business unit of LexisNexis, and the Netter Anatomy brand of Elsevier.

Atrinsic has introduced Kevin Vye as its senior vice president of technology. Prior to his new position, Vye served as the company's vice president of technology. He was responsible for the strategic direction and execution of corporate technology initiatives. 

Anchor Intelligence is slated to roll out its latest product, ClearMark for Keywords. The system is designed to predict the value of each keyword in an advertiser's portfolio, a skill that is unique to the product. eBay will be using the system  to optimize its keyword bidding strategies.

BLITZ has appointed Dave McClain as its new senior creative director. McClain will guide the strategy and artistic vision for all client accounts. He had previously worked for Razorfish prior to joining BLITZ.

Justin Schacter has joined Brand.net as director of sales. He will be responsible for creating sales opportunities in the East.

Break Media has announced the launch of Apex, a new proprietary in-house advertising server for the Break Media Network. Apex allows advertisers to build and manage targeted campaigns across the Break Media Network.

Burst Media has announced its acquisition of On The Phone Media Limited. On The Phone is a U.K.-based ad network that specializes in premium advertising.

Colle+McVoy announced a number of new hires. Lisa Holzemer has been hired as senior interactive producer, Ben Clymer joins as the interactive designer, Fabien Dodard comes onboard as a junior art director, Jenny Kirmis arrives as a junior copywriter, Brice Hemmer is appointed as junior interactive designer/developer, and Tom Ferrara takes on the role of interactive developer.

ContextWeb has appointed Tim Murray as its CEO. Murray replaces Anand Subramanian, who will stay with the company as president of the ADSDAQ Ad Exchange.

Crowd Science has rolled out its latest application, titled Campaign Profiler, which will allow advertisers to perform an unlimited number of campaign research studies for a flat fee of $5,000 per month. The company plans to introduce the application at the ad:tech conference next week.

FileMaker Inc. has made its Bento For iPad available on the Apple App Store. The app allows users to manage contacts, track projects, and plan events. Users will be able to sync it up to Bento 3 For Mac.

The Huffington Post has launched the "Twitter Edition" of its site. The editors use open and proprietary tools to build a collection of notable tweeters. The aim is to take advantage of the real-time reporting done through microblogging. The Twtter Edition will revolve around three categories: technology, politics, and comedy.

Martopia has named Mitch Cohen as senior public relations and media strategist. Prior to joining Martopia, Cohen had been working in the mortgage technology and financial services industry.

Passenger, the social software and services provider, has launched its Channel Partner Program. Digitas, Tribal DDB, Digital Partners, and BBMG will be using Passenger's private online communities to increase brand-consumer engagement. In preparation for this initiative, Mitch Gordon has been appointed to vice president, channel partnerships, and JJ Cramer to senior director, channel partnerships.

Popular Mechanics has relaunched its website, making it compatible with Hearst Magazine's digital media platform. The new site includes a simplified navigation scheme and new advertising units.

R/GA has promoted Ryan Denning to managing director. He will lead the San Francisco office, where he will work with executive creative director Mauro Cavalletti. In addition, R/GA San Francisco will welcome eight new employees to its staff. It has appointed Andres Jimenez to interaction design director, Brett Rampata to associate creative director, Ricardo Landim to associate creative director, Ted McCagg to associate creative director, Allison Gabrys to group director, production, Vanessa McCutcheon to account director, and Yasmin Nestlen and Vlad Margulis to the role of interaction design directors.

Dr. Tay Joc Cing has been hired to lead ScanScout's R&D operations in Singapore. Cing was recently the CEO, chief scientist, and majority shareholder of ROSS Scientific.

Smartclip LLC has appointed Matt Prohaska as its first chief executive officer. Prohaska has worked in online media and broadcast television for 17 years. He is charged with devising new partnerships and expanding Smartclip's network throughout North America.

Kathleen DeCaire-Aden is now serving as chief executive officer for Wahlstrom. She is currently on the National Marketing Division Advisory Council and has served for the past eight years as CEO for SMG Directory Marketing, a part of Publicis Groupe.

Zooppa has partnered with Zinio to hold the "Zinio: Read What You Like" ad competition. In the contest, members of Zooppa will respond to Zinio's creative brief posted on the Zooppa website. The winning response will win $15,000 in cash awards.
