6 free online PR tactics that deliver

Starting your online publicity efforts

Everybody loves "free," especially if it comes with the words "easy" and "no strings attached." It's why so many of us are looking to use the internet to get our message across.

Co-author Christine Randle is an account director at DPR Group.

However, while gaining online publicity for your business is not difficult, it could be more challenging than you think. Fortunately, there are many simple online steps you can take to increase your firm's exposure and build recognition. Granted, these efforts will require more planning and work -- think a few hours or a day or more -- versus the nearly instant gratification of creating a Twitter account, but all will likely help you gain ground in your publicity efforts.

Here are six steps to get you started in your online publicity efforts.
