Customers are waiting longer to hear back from businesses as email response time slows.

Email has become entwined in the DNA of U.S. business, but that doesn’t mean businesses are on top of their email correspondence. A survey by Hornstein Associates found that fewer businesses are responding to email inquiries within 24 hours as compared with 2002.
