Google.org hires Dr. Larry Brilliant as executive director, Carat Fusion appoints Beacom and more interactive new hires and partnerships.

360i LLC, a full-service performance and search marketing agency, announced that it has named David Berkowitz as director of strategic planning, bringing the firm exceptional vision and expertise within the search marketing industry.

Aaron Brothers, an artistic, interactive shopping destination featuring custom framing, artwork and art supplies, has selected Zunch Communications, Inc. for its interactive marketing and web presence management.

Accipiter Solutions, Inc. announced that it has expanded its global customer base to include LINKdotNET, an internet solutions and service providers in Egypt and the Middle East. The company is Accipiter's first Egyptian customer and the largest Pan Middle-Eastern AdManager installation.

Bazaarvoice announced that W. Atlee Burpee & Co. has implemented the Bazaarvoice solution to enable fully managed customer ratings and reviews on its home website. Burpee, which has supplied seeds to the home gardener since 1876, offers a variety of community resources to its loyal customer base including nutrition guides, a full library of online resources, and daily tips available online or by RSS feed.

Carat Fusion has hired Eric Beacom as creative director for the agency's Boston office. Beacom will take a lead role in managing creative strategy and resources for the office's clients. Beacom has more than 13 years of experience in the fields of branding and identity design, multimedia and web development, museum exhibitry and environmental graphic design.

Eurekster, Inc. announced that Community Connect, a collection of online community destinations for U.S. ethnic groups, will integrate Eurekster's SearchPublisher as the social search solution for visitors to its sites; AsianAvenue.com, BlackPlanet.com and MiGente.com.

Google Inc. announced the appointment of Dr. Larry Brilliant as executive director of Google.org, which administers Google's philanthropic activities. In this role he will work with the company's co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin to define the mission and strategic goals of Google's philanthropy. 

InStream, a broadband video ad network, announced that Eric Orrantia joins the company as director of west coast sales. He will be based in Los Angeles.

Linkstorm Corporation has hired F. Stewart DeBruicker as chief strategist and promoted Alan Lieberman to chief information officer. DeBruicker will drive the company’s intender-driven activities, ensuring that the needs of consumers are clearly understood and precisely met by Linkstorm and its advertising clients. Lieberman will lead product development and ensure Linkstorm’s technology is at the forefront of the online advertising industry

Mooter Media, an Australian-based online ad targeting company, has opened a new global office in China. Mooter Media says they plan to focus on the rapidly growing Asian markets.

Organic Inc. has hired Mauro Cavalletti as creative director, information architecture. Cavalletti is responsible for leading Organic's Information Architecture/User Experience group in San Francisco, managing and mentoring senior interaction designers and information architects.

Portent Interactive, an interactive marketing agency, has greatly expanded its marketing intelligence capabilities with visitor and website audience profiling from Nielsen//NetRatings @Plan and AdRelevance services. Portent Interactive is a developer of web analytics tools.
