Hitwise: Cruise Vacation Searches

Hitwise tracks searches on travel cruise sites and cruise-related search terms.

As the travel season begins to heat up, many Americans interested in taking cruises are utilizing the Internet for reviews of cruise vacations. Hitwise has taken a closer look at the top Cruise websites for the week ending April 15, 2006. The most popular site is Vacations To Go, capturing 19 percent of visits to the category, followed by Carnival Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean. The top brand search terms sending visits to the Travel-Cruises category included "carnival cruise" and "royal caribbean." The top generic search terms included terms "cheap cruises" and "last minute cruises."
