WeatherBug hires Jill Glassman as director of sales and marketing, About.com appoints Marjorie L. Martin as general manager and more interactive new hires and partnerships.

About.com has appointed Marjorie L. Martin, an award-winning television producer and health editor, to the newly created position of general manager, About Health (health.about.com). For the past six months, About Health has consistently ranked second in the online Health and Fitness category for content sites, according to Nielsen//NetRatings.

BrightWave Marketing, Inc. has been chosen by national flooring retailer, Floor & Décor Outlets of America, to manage its online marketing programs. As part of a successful collaborative partnership between Floor & Décor's advertising agency of record, Hauser Group, BrightWave Marketing will create and manage several online acquisition and retention programs, including email marketing, search engine keyword buys as well as other customer database management and development programs.

eMarketer has hired Kris Oser, formerly the interactive reporter for Advertising Age, as director of strategic communications. Oser, who had been interactive reporter for Advertising Age magazine since 2004, has been a business reporter for 15 years, covering interactive, direct marketing, health care, workplace issues and the law.

Enlighten, an interactive agency developing innovative online experiences for major brands, has hired Andrew Lovasz as associate director, search marketing, while Smita Kapur joins the company as senior interactive planner. They report to John Gray, who joined Enlighten as director of interactive marketing earlier this year. Currently, Enlighten's interactive marketing group manages the creation of integrated online advertising, search marketing, email marketing and emerging media campaigns.

FHMUS.com, the companion website to FHM, has selected Winstar, a division of Interep Interactive, the largest independent online ad sales company in the United States, to be its exclusive national online sales rep firm.

Jumpstart Automotive Media has hired Dave Latham as manager of creative development. Jumpstart Automotive Media has expanded its creative development department. In addition, employees from other departments within Jumpstart will combine into a new creative team, including: Jennifer Hill (director of ad operations); Kelly McGuigan (director of partner management); Heather Curran (manager of ad operations/partners); and Aaron Lowe (account manager, national ad sales).

Omniture, a provider of online business optimization software, announced the recent appointment of Ned Sizer as vice president of financial planning and analysis. Reporting directly to Omniture's CFO, Mike Herring, Sizer is responsible for world-wide budgeting, forecasting, organizational performance reporting and additional reporting metrics that drive company growth and expansion. In addition, he will manage and lead target-setting efforts to set qualitative and quantitative functional and departmental business objectives.

R/GA announced plans for a major expansion of its New York headquarters, adding an additional 11,075 square feet of space.

ReelTime Rentals, Inc. announced that the company has entered into a distribution agreement with KPI, an independent television production company based in New York. Under the agreement, consumers visiting www.reeltimetv.net will be able to access KPI-produced shows via the internet.

Sharpe Partners announced it has earned four awards in the Web Marketing Association's 2006 Internet Advertising Competition. The interactive marketing agency received the recognition for projects it accomplished on behalf of its Circuit City Stores, Inc. and PointRoll clients.

SpecificMEDIA, an innovative technology and online media company that provides advanced audience targeting capabilities to online advertisers, announces the opening of its new regional office in downtown Chicago. The office, located at 875 N. Michigan Avenue, is central to the company's expansion efforts and will be critical for servicing SpecificMEDIA's new and existing clients in the Midwest.

WeatherBug, provider of live, local weather information services, has announced that Jill Glassman joins WeatherBug as director of sales and marketing. Working out of the New York office, Glassman will report to Michael Rosen, senior vice president of advertising sales & marketing for WeatherBug. In her new role, Glassman will lead all advertising sales marketing efforts, including sales program development, trade advertising and sales research.
