Christian Arno, 31, is Founder and Director of Lingo24, a global translations company, that has just won the International Trade Awards for Scotland, sponsored by HSBC.

Beginning in the spare room of his parents’ house in Aberdeen, Scotland, in 2001, when he was just a 22year-old graduate in Modern Languages, Arno grew Lingo24 to become Scotland’s biggest translations service.

Now based in Edinburgh, and operating across four continents in multiple time-zones,  Lingo24 has major hubs in Romania and Panama.  With over 100 staff and a network of  4,000 professional translators, Lingo24 translates 30 million words a year for clients in more than 60 countries covering all sectors.
