Michael is a strategist and writer that helps companies connect with their audiences and build effective communication systems.
Most recently, it’s included the integrated Web, social, and mobile presences of brands like Sharpie, Taco Bell, KFC, Discover Financial, Cox Communications, and Sony Stores, among others.
Michael has been applying his training as a television screenwriter for building compelling digital experiences since 1998, providing brands and agencies across the globe unique, valuable insights into how people use media to strengthen and mediate their own relationships.
This approach has created success and won awards, like the Web Marketing Association WebAwards for Emmi Foods and Aircell’s Gogo (Commercial Airline Wi-Fi) launch sites.
Michael began his professional career in 1991, producing, writing, voicing, nightly shows and two national comedy show pilots for WMMR – Westinghouse radio. Since then, he’s spent time breaking records on both the client and agency sides in a number of leadership roles.
A contributor to iMediaConnection, Michael’s writing has been cited multiple times by SmartBrief. He has also spoken frequently on topics ranging from effective social content strategy through future technology trends.
In design, Michael’s widget work has been recognized twice by Apple as “Staff Picks,” once for creating the first fully-functional Flash-based dashboard widget. He has also received “Designer Spotlight” award for Web design by iStockPhoto.
Michael lives in the Philadelphia area with his Wife, Jessica, and two sons Jacob (14) and Max (10). He is a graduate of Temple University’s School of Communications and Theater with a major in television screenwriting and production.
