Rob Stravitz is responsible for all consumer marketing activities related to Valvoline's Valvoline Instant Oil Change (VIOC) business. Valvoline is a brand of Ashland, Inc. VIOC owns and operates 271 company stores, and franchises an additional 654 stores. It is the second-largest quick lube chain in the U.S.

Stravitz joined Valvoline in 2005 as vice president, marketing, for Valvoline's DIFM (do-it-for-me) distributor sales group. In May 2006, he was named vice president, marketing, for the DIY business. In this capacity, he was responsible for developing consumer insights, new products and marketing programs, and advertising to re-establish growth for the DIY businesses in lubricants, appearance, and automotive chemicals.

A native of Garden City, New York, Stravitz earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia in 1985, and a master's degree in business administration from UCLA's Anderson School in 1991. Prior to joining Ashland Inc., he held senior marketing management positions with Clorox, Intuit, and Del Monte Foods.
