Evan Rudowski, CEO and co-founder of SubHub Evan Rudowski has more than 25 years of experience working in digital media.
He started his career as a newspaper journalist before joining Newsday, the New York newspaper – writing short 80-character headlines for the Times Square Zipper years before the before the rest of the world became familiar with 140-character updates on Twitter – and eventually becoming online manager.
He has held business development and product management roles at News Corporation and at internet pioneer Excite.com, where he grew Excite subsidiary City.net into the leading travel website of its era. In 1998 he crossed the Atlantic to lead Excite UK and Europe, including joint ventures with British Telecom, Telecom Italia and others, and he has lived in the UK since. In 2002 he founded Atlantic Leap, a consultancy firm that provides digital media, e-commerce and technology companies with a route to enter and expand their US operations into Europe.
In 2004 Evan co-founded SubHub, a leading provider of digital membership solutions for associations and publications. Based in Cardiff, Wales, SubHub operates in the UK and USA. Clients include the Association of Online Publishing, the magazine industry body FIPP, Drum Channel and the Public Relations Consultants Association (PRCA).
Evan has been a guest columnist for Mashable, PaidContent, TechCrunch and other publications. He sits on the Global Communications Committee of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), a worldwide membership organisation for entrepreneurs that has 9,000 members in 42 countries. He is a graduate of New York University’s pioneering Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) at Tisch School of the Arts. Evan is married with two children and lives in Bath.
