Yory Wurmser is principle retail analyst with eMarketer, the leading research firm for digital marketers. He writes reports that answer three core questions for retailers: how consumers spend their time, how consumers spend their money, and what marketers are doing to reach them. Recent reports have covered mobile advertising, omnichannel marketing, proximity media and marketing.
Prior to joining eMarketer, Wurmser was director of marketing and media insights at the Direct Marketing Association. He ran the research department at DMA, producing reports for sale for marketers and helping set internal strategy. Before entering the marketing world, Wurmser worked in management consulting and as a writer for TV documentaries. He has a Ph.D. from Columbia University.
