Ly Tran is an Associate Partner and Digital Strategist at Proof Advertising in Austin, TX and was nominated as one of Advertising Age’s 24 Women to Watch.

She is a 20 year advertising veteran with 100% of that time focused exclusively on all things Digital (social, mobile, hyper-local, rich media, online display, email marketing, SEO/SEM, website development, omni-channel, business intelligence analytics, etc.). She majored in Advertising and minored in Art History at Emerson College in Boston, MA.

In 1996, Ly started her career at BBDO based in Los Angeles, doing Interactive before most of the advertising industry knew what Interactive was for clients like Best Western, Apple & MGM. She also spent time at Grey In LA before moving back to TX to build a digital department from the ground up for McCann Erickson Southwest/Universal McCann Interactive based in Houston, TX. While at McCann, she lead digital for clients such as Texas Tourism, La Quinta Inns & Suites and Texas Instruments.

After a dot com stint running marcom programs clientside, she managed Interactive for Barbados Tourism, Emirates Airlines, Harley Davidson Travel Experience, ConocoPhillips, Dell, Waste Management, American Greetings, Nestle and others as Director of Online Marketing & Services at independent ad agency The Company of Others (formerly FKM).

For the past 8 years, Ly has resided in Austin, TX at Proof, leading the entire digital team and providing digital strategy for new business and existing clients, including but not limited to Subway Restaurants, Mouser Electronics, Stubb’s BBQ, San Antonio Convention & Visitors Bureau, and others.
