An eleven-year Digital Media veteran, Jed recently left eBay, Inc. as the Director of Business Development for eBay's Strategic Partnerships unit to join ScanScout, Inc. as Executive Vice President of Strategy and Development. While at eBay his team worked to create marketing and service oriented programs for marketers to reach eBay's more than 55+ million monthly users. Jed was responsible for opening eBay's Eastern offices in 2003, and oversaw the National Strategic Partnerships unit. During his tenure the team managed and executed most of eBay's third party company relationships and generated tens of millions in incremental revenue for the company.
Prior to joining eBay in 2003 Jed served over 4 years with Microsoft's MSN division, holding positions including Eastern Sales Director, the National Sales Manager and finally General Manager of Sales. Jed increased revenue 10-fold in his first two years at MSN, and helped make the division one of the leading revenue organizations in the industry.
Before working with MSN, Jed created the National Sales Team for CBS Sportsline, as the company's Vice President of Sales. His team drove over $30 million in total revenue during his first 18 months at the helm. CBS Sportsline was successfully taken public and saw its market valuation grow to over $300 million during his turn with the company.
Jed entered the digital sales industry, as the founding Sales Director for Juno Online services. His responsibilities there included the development of one of the world's first digital media sales organizations.
Jed started his media sales career over 14 years ago at Rodale Press. He has also worked at Business Week magazine, where he held sales positions for several years.
As a founding member of the Internet Advertising Bureau, Jed has served on the Board of Directors for over six years and was also named one of MEDIA Week Magazine's 50 People You Should Know in Digital Media this year
