Torsten Gross is the Head of Strategy at J Walter Thompson responsible for strategy across multiple luxury, CPG and technology brands. From traditional and digital to media and innovation, spanning start-up to monolith agencies, Torsten has run the full strategic and creative marketing gamut. His last position was a Chief Marketing Officer of McIntosh Group where he started to transition the high-end luxury audio holding company once targeted at an audiophile market into a sought-after luxury brand. Torsten also launched Pryma, McIntosh’s luxury headphones line which led to their most successful product launch. Prior to McIntosh, Torsten founded Partners & Partners, a NY based marketing strategy and creative consultancy which was his second successful exit. Leading up to P&P, Torsten has been the SVP, Group Planning Director at Deutsch overseeing Microsoft’s global marketing strategy and was at R/GA as Group Planning Director where he led the strategy for a portfolio of clients including Verizon, AARP and PwC. Other agencies include FatBaby (his first successful exit), PhD, BBDO & Fahrenheit 212. Torsten is a Techstars Mentor, on the board of Proximity Insight, Sail to Prevail and Sacred People Foundation and the only person in a wheelchair to become a Rescue Scuba Diver.
