Marijke Timmers is Founder and Director of Dara Children’s Trust, a New Zealand and Australian registered charity that supports poverty-stricken communities in Cambodia. Having volunteered there in 2009, Marijke established the charity in 2010 and has since created education opportunities for hundreds of Cambodian children and their families.

A commercial marketer at the core (Marijke is also MD of NZ at Marketing Cube), she doesn’t believe financial rewards in business need to come at the expense of corporate social responsibility and sustainability. And, with consumers and employees demanding more, Marijke’s an advocate for aligning your brand to a broader purpose and staying true to your values. After all, it just makes good business sense.
