Tara Walpert Levy is the managing director of global ads marketing development at Google, where she leads the global marketing team focused on large advertisers and agencies. She is also responsible for advertiser communications and market development for YouTube worldwide.

 Prior to her role at Google, Levy was the president of Visible World, building the company into the leading targeted TV advertising platform for media sellers, agency executives, and marketers.  She also spent six years at McKinsey & Company, where she was a leader of the global media and entertainment and sales and marketing groups. Levy began her career in print and online advertising sales and has worked as an investment banker for Goldman Sachs and as a consultant for The LEK Partnership.


 Levy writes and speaks frequently on the shifting advertising landscape and has been named by Advertising Age as one of the top Women to Watch; by Crain's as one of NYC’s 40 Under 40; and by Fast Company as one of the Most Creative People in Business. She is a board member of the dmg; the Wharton Future of Advertising Program; the alumni advisory board of McKinsey & Company; and F.E.G.S., the largest health and human services nonprofit in the U.S. Tara also invests in and advises media and marketing start-ups in the N.Y. area.


 Levy received a B.A. in Economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She currently lives in Manhattan with her husband and twin boys.
