As advertising director, Tom O'Brien manages a team that interacts with large agencies and brands that use Disqus' content recommendation platform, Promoted Discovery, as an advertising vehicle to drive traffic and engagement with brand content. Prior to joining Disqus, O'Brien launched and ran SmartBrief's brand and agency relations team.

Previously, O'Brien worked for a number of large media brands, including Condé Nast, Time Inc., and IDG.
