Lorne Brown founded Operative in 2000, armed with four years of technology and service outsourcing experience. During his tenure at Operative, Lorne has developed relationships with such premier brands as DoubleClick, News Corp. and MSN. His entrepreneurial spirit, passion to tackle challenges and quest to always deliver value to clients has led to the inception of innovative products and services within the Operative suite. Lorne’s unequivocal commitment and charisma coupled with his industry knowledge, continue to propel the company, especially his global team, to success.

Prior to Operative, Lorne served as Vice President of Sales and Operations at BCJ Systems, an Internet consulting company. Earlier in his career, Lorne worked at Royalblue Technologies, a financial software company, where he implemented and managed a client and server web-based trading system for several major banks and brokerage houses including HSBC, Bear Stearns, SG Cowen and BNP Paribas. In addition, he worked in CMP Media's Online Advertising Production group, one of NetGravity's first clients, managing inventory and traffic for various online magazine sites including NetGuide, Techweb, Network Computing and Windows. He has a degree in Finance and MIS from the State University of New York at Albany.
