Mark is a 17-year veteran of the advertising and marketing industry in Chicago. Having started in traditional media planning and buying at Ogilvy & Mather, Mark has held progressive roles at FCB, AdKnowledge, AOL and Pandora working closely with the Midwest’s highest-profile brands and service companies. Mark currently serves as MaxPoint Interactive’s Director of Midwest Sales and is responsible for sales team management and customer outreach here in Chicago. Previous to that role, Mark founded and ran ElevationPlus, Inc., a technology consultancy that helped early and middle-stage companies present and sell into the Midwest ad agency market. After serving as CIMA’s president in 2008 and 2009, Mark re-joined the board in April of this year as Treasurer and Executive Board Member. Mark holds a BA in English from the University of Virginia, and an MA in Mass Communication Theory and Research from the University of Michigan. It was there that Mark developed a lifelong passion for teaching. To indulge that passion, Mark teaches and guest lectures courses on interactive, social media, and integrated marketing planning for the Dunham School of Business at Aurora University. He lives in Naperville with his two daughters and continues to be amazed at the way they engage with technology.
