Susan was previously Chief M-Commerce Strategist for Ecrio, a wireless software developer. Prior to that, she held various management roles: Founder and President of a $10 million overseas office for Modem Media (acquired by Digitas), and Managing Director of InfoPlus, a privately held integrated marketing agency.

Susan did her Ph.D. fellowship researching the emergence of mass media at Keio University, Tokyo. She is fluent in Japanese. During the digital downturn, she did her Master's in Wine at the Culinary Institute in St. Helena and at the Université du Vin in southern France.
