It is evident by his certificate of entertainment, public relations and screenwriting from UCLA, a bachelor’s degree in film and new media from UCSB, and that he is a graduate of the Act One Screenwriters program, that Dylan Conroy has a thirst for knowledge and experience.
Upon graduating from UCSB, Dylan began to hone his producing skills and started to build a network by working directly for some of the top names in entertainment, including Howard Bragman, Phil Rosenthal, Mark Cronin, Ivan Reitman, Bruce Nash and Oprah Winfrey. One of Dylan’s first entertainment jobs was as an account executive to Howard Bragman of the PR agency Bragman Nyman Cafarelli where he worked with clients such as Stevie Wonder and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. He later parlayed that into a job as an assistant to reality television maven Bruce Nash of Nash Entertainment, where he served for two years as a research assistant. While at Nash he developed numerous feature film concepts and reality shows.
Dylan was a segment producer for the Profiles TV (“The Amazing Race”) and Harpo (“Oprah Winfrey Show”) joint production titled “The Big Give” which aired in Jan of 2008 on ABC.
Dylan has helped clients develop, package, sell and produce reality content as well as manage other creative talent. He has optioned properties with National Lampoon and Eco Maniacal Productions.
Dylan is a shareholder in an Internet Start up called FlashCity.com, in the arena of celebrity news.
Dylan was an associate producer / financier at Strata Productions where he managed a large base of equity partners who invested in independent films. Strata’s last film staring David Straitharin, No God No Master, finished principal photography in Milwaukee on August 15th.
Then, Dylan joined Ferrazzi Greenlight as Head of Sales to work for Keith Ferrazzi one of his all time business heroes.
Dylan is currently the Director of Sales for Channel Factory. He helps brands, media agencies and content creators be successful on You Tube.
Dylan is a master networker with a talent for brokering strong partnerships among like-minded people – both inside and outside of the entertainment business. In addition to being a member of Connecting Reality, Media Bistro and Act One, ThinkLA & Digital Hollywood, Dylan is the founder and president of Sigs in Entertainment - a powerful networking group of Sigma Chi’s in the entertainment industry.
