Gemma Craven is executive director, head of social customer engagement at OgilvyOne, New York. OgilvyOne is Ogilvy's customer engagement agency, focusing on unlocking the full value of customers through a complete range of direct marketing, digital marketing, and marketing consulting services.
Craven's role centers on work with clients to drive integrated social strategies that combine deep disciplines - such as CRM - with customer behaviors online. She is also social strategy lead on the company's Weight Watchers business.
Craven was previously New York group director for [email protected]vy. During her three-plus year tenure, she led a team focused on developing and executing social media and digital strategies for clients from IBM and IKEA to British Airways, Caterpillar Inc, The Gap, Nestle, and more. Her role included managing senior client relationships, digital crisis management, cross agency training, and thought leadership.
Craven is a board member at WOMMA, the Word of Mouth Marketing Association -- dedicated to advancing the discipline of credible word-of-mouth marketing -- and a member of the newly formed 4As Social Media Committee, as well as regular public speaker on the world of digital marketing.
She is a graduate of University of Sussex (U.K.) and Université d'Aix Marseille (France) where she studied French and European Studies and French for Business.
For kicks, she loves to run, - and just completed her first marathon after a 12-year hiatus from the 26.2-milers -- snowboard, read, and enjoy a glass or two of good red wine as a reward for the first three.
