Sharonda L. Britton is the director of multicultural marketing for Walmart Stores, Inc. Britton launched a diverse career within the consumer packaged goods industry and is an industry expert in shopper marketing and shopper insights. Her creative ideas and digital shopper marketing platforms were recognized in Shopper Marketing™ magazine and shared during various industry conferences. Britton currently leads Walmart's multicultural efforts for a growing segment that is increasingly approaching $1.2 trillion in buying power.
Britton has a passion for multicultural marketing, with a concerted focus on Hispanic, African-American, and Asian consumers. Her current role has increased significance as senior leadership within Walmart marketing has identified that 100 percent of the growth will come from the multicultural consumer.
As director of African-American and Asian marketing, she is able to leverage her vast experience across general market and multicultural consumers to build strategies and platforms that feature the right products at everyday low prices for Walmart's diverse consumers. In 2013, Britton's hard work and perseverance led to her being named as one of Black Enterprise Magazine's Top Women in Marketing, and one of Ad Age's Top 40 Under 40.
A reoccurring theme throughout Britton's career is her passion for community service. She served on multiple boards to include Central Florida Urban League as the past young professional president. She is also an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
