Scott Bender is the Senior Vice President for Global Media Sales at BazaarVoice
Based in New York, his responsibilities include forming strategic relationships with the brand advertisers and top agencies that form the demand side of the Bazaarvoice Media business. Bazaarvoice Media brings highly relevant brand messages to an estimated 100 million active consumers across shopping publishers, mobile and tablet commerce applications, and online retailers. Bazaarvoice Media's advertising management network allows advertisers to target customers by behavior, product, location and demographic, and enables retailers and publishers to easily launch and manage on-site advertising campaigns that help brands increase reach and awareness in the digital shopping aisle.
A veteran of the Digital Media space, previous to BazaarVoice, Scott was Senior Vice President of Sales & Business Development for IGN Entertainment, a division of News Corporation with properties that included IGN, AskMen, and IPL (IGN’s Pro Gaming League). In addition to his sales, responsibilities, Scott also led Business Development and partnerships for the company.
Also at News Corp, Scott led Sales efforts for the Fox Entertainment digital properties Fox.com, AmericanIdol.com, Fox primetime shows and the launch of "Fox on Demand".
Prior to News Corp, Scott led National Sales efforts for CNN Digital. A 15 year veteran of Turner Broadcasting, Scott started with the company in 1991, in Detroit, in CNN television Sales. He started his career in local Detroit Radio Sales at WXYT AM/WMXD FM.
Scott holds a J.D. and B.A in Advertising both from Michigan State University.
