David Maxson is Senior Director of Interactive Marketing at Avery Products Corporation. David originally joined Avery as Chief Strategist of Avery.com where he helped build a global web infrastructure for online marketing and software delivery. David is currently responsible for Avery’s web, mobile and software strategy, development and marketing, cross-channel marketing strategy, email marketing, search marketing, social media, digital analytics and internal content production.
Before joining Avery, David spent several years at IBM’s Retail and Distribution Consulting practice serving clients such as Gap, REI, Nestle and the United States Department of Commerce. David then joined Macys.com as Executive Producer where he helped re-launch the site on a new architecture with responsibilities including online and cross-channel consumer experience, site conversion, site business operations and the online product roadmap. After Macys.com, David joined Gateway Computer as Director of Web for Gateway.com and eMachines.com. His responsibilities included consumer experience, site conversion, creative content, online product roadmap and re-launching the site on a new architecture.
David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Claremont McKenna College and an M.B.A. from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.
