Chad Blankenship's early adventures growing up in Oklahoma were heavily inspired by Bo and Luke Duke's escapes from corrupt authority, John Rambo's sense of justice and self-reliance (yes, Blankenship had the survival knife with built-in compass and wire saw), and his dad's passion for off-road motorcycle racing. So it felt like manifest destiny when El Rey called with an invitation to ride. Blankenship joins El Rey Network with 18 years of agency and client-side brand marketing experience. Most recently, at ESPN, he led the team responsible for marketing communications in support of ESPN's broad college sports portfolio. At NYC2012, he spearheaded the domestic marketing efforts for New York City's bid to host the 2012 Olympic Games. Previously, Blankenship contributed to award-winning marketing efforts at Wieden + Kennedy, The Richards Group, and Ground Zero for brands including Home Depot, Coca-Cola, Activision, and Los Angeles Times.
