Michael O'Hanlon is responsible for developing and executing the company's M&A strategy, as well as developing key strategic partnerships, including online marketplace relationships with Wal-Mart, Staples, Tesco, Sears, Best Buy, Amazon, eBay, and content partnerships with Coastal Living, Country Living, Sunset, and This Old House.

O'Hanlon also founded and continues to lead Wayfair Media Solutions, through which leading brands and retailers can drive brand awareness and engagement. Earlier in his Wayfair career, O'Hanlon launched Wayfair's European business in the U.K. and Germany, and led the company's buying team, managing relationships with over 3,000 suppliers across 24 categories. Before joining Wayfair in 2006, O'Hanlon spent more than 11 years as an investment banker, and spent six years as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy.

 

O'Hanlon earned an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.S. in nuclear engineering from the University of Virginia. He lives just south of Boston with his wife, four children, and three dogs.
