Mike Amend joined The Home Depot in 2011 and is VP of the online business. He is responsible for the strategy, operations and customer experiences across all platforms – desktop, tablet, mobile web and apps. He leads many different teams including product management, multi-channel, digital content, analytics, business intelligence, usability, testing and optimization, personalization, and master data teams for all channels.

Mike came from Dell Computers, as chief technology officer of online and was responsible for leading products, engineering and operations of their global B2C and B2B platforms. Prior to that, Mike was deputy chief technology officer of BEA Systems, a leading enterprise software company that was acquired by Oracle.

Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Oklahoma State University.

He also attended the executive management program at Haas School of Business, UC Berkley. Mike also serves on the board of Texas Baptist Children’s Home.
