Alex Hill, Ph.D., is chief scientist at Merlin Mobility, the leader in enterprise-level augmented reality. Hill leads the development of Merlin's cloud-based Augmented Reality (AR) platform, which enables everyday content developers to create, deploy, and manage the effectiveness of enterprise-level augmented reality applications.

Hill received his doctorate from the University of Illinois at the electronic visualization laboratory, and completed his post-doctoral fellowship at Georgia Tech's augmented environments laboratory. During his tenure at Georgia Tech, Hill led the development efforts for Argon, the augmented reality browser based exclusively on web standards such as HTML5, CSS3, and KML. Hill has been published in numerous peer-reviewed conferences and journals, and he is a frequent reviewer and contributor to augmented reality standards efforts.
