Bringing extensive financial services marketing experience, Margot Vaughan is the global customized marketing group head for MasterCard Advisors, the professional services arm of MasterCard. She oversees a team that manages, develops, and executes integrated online and offline marketing solutions for North American clients, as well as key global engagements, across the customer lifecycle.
As head of global customized marketing, Vaughan has grown the business from acquisition-specific to customer management, directing the development of new solutions across channels. She has worked to enhance MasterCard Advisors' direct marketing offerings across all channels, including digital, mobile, telemarketing, print, mail, and broadcast, for initiatives from branch cross-sell to credit, debit, prepaid, to commercial.
Vaughan has demonstrated a winning track record for delivering both client benefits and business success. Shortly after joining MasterCard, she introduced the "champion/challenger" concept in direct mail, then a primary marketing channel for the company. As a result, MasterCard U.S. mail share increased from 20 percent to over 85 percent, significantly contributing to the number of MasterCard cardholders. More importantly, she demonstrated MasterCard's ability to add value to a client's business, a key enabler in the creation of MasterCard Advisors. Prior to joining MasterCard, Vaughan worked in marketing at the New York Cornell Medical Center, Citi, and American Express.
Vaughan holds an MBA and an M.A. from New York University in Marketing and International Finance, respectively. She lives in the New York area and is based in MasterCard's Purchase, New York headquarters.
